There are days when I crave for a burger, especially the RM4 Ramly Burger Special. I prefer eating Ramly Burger anytime than any of the fast food outlet here. Who doesn’t love a good burger? Even my 92 year old grandpa love it when he had his first burger last year!

I made myself a Low Carb Burger, bun-less and guilt-free.  To fill myself up, I prefer having another piece of burger patty (more protein) than carb like a bun. Why order take-aways when you can enjoy these loaded hamburgers at home?

Beef Rendang Malaysian style

Rendang is a spicy meat dish which originated from the Minangkabau ethnic group of Indonesia, and has become popular in Malaysia and other South Asian countries.  An 2011 online poll conducted by CNN International for by 35,000 people chose Rendang as the Number 1 dish of their ‘World’s 50 Most Delicous Foods’ list. How exciting when I read about it because Rendang is also one of my favourite dishes.

Sup Daging – Malaysian Beef Soup

I’m back from a trip to Singapore, and surprisingly I was constantly thinking about cooking and blogging.. Oh well.. time for another holiday where I can do nothing and just laze around.. It was certainly very difficult to maintain the October Unprocessed Challenge, anyhow now am back home and back on track.

Sup Tulang or Sup Daging is one my favourite dishes to order when I visit a Malay eatery. Sup Tulang, literally Bone Soup in Malay, usually refers to beef soups which are made with beef that is still attached to bones. Continue Reading →

Chinese Slow Cook Ribs with Soy Bean

This is one of my mama’s ingenious recipe – Ribs with Soy Bean in a slow cooker. According to my mama, this recipe was adapted from Pai Kuat (steamed spareribs with black bean sauce) that is available at any dim sum restaurants. Everyone in my family love this dish. It’s one of those no-brainer recipes for lazy days. You can throw all this in slow cooker before going off to work and you will have a ready dish when you get back home. Continue Reading →
